Buddhists across Sri Lanka are commemorating the Poson Full Moon Poya Day on Monday (29), one of the most sacred days in the Buddhist calendar. Poson Poya commemorates the arrival of Arahant Mahinda Thero, who introduced Buddhism to Sri Lanka, with devotees observing religious activities, offering alms, and taking part in Poson celebrations nationwide.
