India funds two new hospital projects…

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Santosh Jha, and Minister of Health and Mass Media Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa jointly laid the foundation stones on Thursday (16) for the construction of an Accident and Emergency Unit at the District General Hospital in Mannar and a four-storey Medical Ward Complex at the District General Hospital in Mullaitivu. Both projects are being implemented with grant assistance from the Government of India at a cost of Rs. 600 million each, bringing the total investment to Rs. 1.2 billion.
