President, PM pay final respects to the late Nanda Malini…

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake and Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya have paid their final respects to the late veteran musician Visharad Dr. Nanda Malini. President Dissanayake visited her residence in Nawala yesterday (21), where her remains had been placed for public viewing, while the Prime Minister also paid her respects to the late singer. Nanda Malini passed away on August 20 at the age of 82 at her home in Nawala. Her remains have been placed at the Nanda Malini Sangeetha Ashramaya at No. 30, Vijayaba Mawatha, Nawala Road, Nugegoda for the public to pay their last respects. The final rites are scheduled to be held today (22) at 5.30 p.m. at the General Cemetery in Borella.
