Cricket legend TM Dilshan says he applied for SLC batting coach position

Cricket legend Tillakaratne Dilshan on Friday (Dec.15) revealed that he has applied for the position of Sri Lanka batting coach.
Joining Ada Derana ‘STRAIGHT DRIVE’ program, the former Sri Lankan skipper said he has a comprehensive 3-year plan to improve the batting line-up of the national team.
Meanwhile, sources revealed that changes are likely to be made to the coaching staff in the near future, except for head coach Chris Silverwood.
As per reports, the new full-time consultant Sanath Jayasuriya is planning to give more opportunities to former Sri Lankan cricketing greats Chaminda Vaas, Upul Chandana, Rangana Herath, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Avishka Gunawardena, Thilina Kandamby as coaching staff members.
