Asitha Fernando to replace Dushmantha Chameera for India series

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has announced that Dushmantha Chameera will not participate in the T20I series against India as he continues to recover from a bronchitis and respiratory infection.
Chameera, who has been a key player for Sri Lanka, is currently recuperating.
As a result, Asitha Fernando will join the team as his replacement for the upcoming series, the SLC confirmed.
“Dushmantha Chameera is still recovering from a bronchitis and respiratory infection he contracted, and hence will not be part of the T20I series”, the statement said.
Asitha Fernando is now slated to join the squad in place of Chameera.
