3rd ODI: New Zealand bat first against Sri Lanka

New Zealand won the toss and elected to bat first in the third and final ODI against Sri Lanka played at Pallekele International Stadium in Kandy.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka’s Chamindu Wickremasinghe is making his ODI debut today (19).
However, Sri Lanka has already won the series with an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series as they registered a three-wicket win (DLS method) in the second ODI against New Zealand on Sunday (17).
Accordingly, Sri Lanka has finally shattered their ODI jinx against New Zealand, clinching their first series victory in this format over the Kiwis since November 2012.
