Lasith Malinga appointed Consultant Fast Bowling Coach by Sri Lanka Cricket

Former Sri Lanka pacer Lasith Malinga has been appointed as the Consultant – Fast Bowling Coach for the National Team ahead of the 2026 T20 World Cup, Sri Lanka Cricket(SLC) stated.
The appointment is on a short-term basis from December 15 to January 25, 2026, SLC noted.
Malinga has been appointed to work with national fast bowlers as part of preparations for the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
The tournament, co-hosted by Sri Lanka and India, begins on February 7, 2026, with the opening match at the SCC.
