SLC appoints 15-member Emerging Squad to tour Japan

A 15-member emerging squad has been selected by the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) Selectors to take part in the upcoming tour to Japan.

Accordingly, during the tour, the Sri Lanka Emerging Team will play five T2O games against the Japan National Cricket Team, which is also an Associate Member of the International Cricket Council (ICC).

The 15-member squad will be captained by Dellon Peiris, and will include Sakuna Liyanage, Dunith Jayathunga, Sahil Dias, Ranmith Jayasena, Shehan Fernando, Yohan Liyanage, Sithara Hapuhinna, Hirantha Jayasinghe, Lakshan Gamage, Theesan Vithusan, Imithiyaz Slaza, Sithum Dissanayake, Harshana Wickramasinghe and Danal Hemananda.

The series will be played from 10 May until 15 May 2023, at the Sano International Cricket Ground in Japan.
