Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to field first in the fourth match of ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.
The teams are set to take each other on at the Arun Jaitley stadium in India, with Sri Lanka looking to launch their 2023 Cricket World Cup campaign on a positive note today (07 Oct.), but are tasked with doing so against an opponent they have not won against in World Cups since 1992.
The Sri Lankans come into this game with big question marks over their batting and have an injury-weakened bowling attack; South Africa, in contrast, seem to be a well-oiled machine, primed for the flat tracks this World Cup is expected to offer.
