Kusal Mendis slams maiden World Cup century

Sri Lankan batsman Kusal Mendis scored his third century in One-Day Internationals during the ICC World Cup match against Pakistan on Tuesday.

The right-handed batter reached the three-figure mark against Pakistan in the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, India 

He brought up his hundred in just 66 balls, making this the fastest century scored by a Sri Lankan player in a World Cup. This is also Mendis’s maiden World Cup ton.

Earlier, Mendis took Sri Lanka over the 100-run mark, along with Pathum Nissanka after the side lost Kusal Perera early on.
