Thirimanne guides Sri Lanka to 8-wicket win

Lahiru Thirimanne scored his maiden ton as Sri Lanka thrashed Australia by eight wickets to win the 2nd one-day international with nearly 10 overs to spare at Adelaide Oval on Sunday and level the five-match series.
Dilshan made 51 off 88 balls with four boundaries adding 137 runs with Thirimanne while debutant Kushal Perera, promoted up the order, clobbered a six and four off consecutive deliveries off spinner Doherty in the 38th over.
Chasing a target of 171 in the second one-day international against Australia, Sri Lanka fought hard after having lost Upul Tharanga for a duck in the third ball of the innings at the Adelaide Oval.
