Suspected gunman arrested in Meegoda shooting

The suspected gunman in the shooting incident that took place in Meegoda this afternoon (12) has been arrested, police said.
The former Homagama Pradeshiya Sabha member, Shantha Mudunkotuwa, who sustained injuries in the shooting, later succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment at the hospital.
The 46-year-old former local councilor was hospitalized following the incident.
