GMOA decides to continue its ongoing token strike

The Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) has announced that it will continue its island-wide token strike till 8:00 a.m. tomorrow (05).

The strike launched by the GMOA over various demands including against the alleged politicization of the doctors’ transfer process was scheduled to end tomorrow morning.

However, the association has now announced it will decide on whether to continue the strike beyond 8:00 a.m. tomorrow during a special meeting.

GMOA Secretary Dr. Prabath Sugathadasa stated that the Executive Committee of the association will meet tomorrow to decide on the next course of action.
