National Museum closed for investigations

The National Museum has been closed till tomorrow (March 18) due to investigations following the robbery last night during which several valuable items were stolen, police said.  

A sword, several gold coins and rings - of historical value- on display in the second floor of the museum were stolen after thieves broke into the Colombo National Museum last night.

Cinnamon Gardens Police are conducting investigations into the robbery.
