Two main suspects in monks’ murders apprehended

The two main suspects of the double murder at the Kotte Raja Maha Viharaya of two Buddhist monks on Tuesday (March 20) were arrested, one of whom was apprehended in Thanamalwila, Police Spokesman SP Ajith Rohana stated.

 

Investigations had revealed that the two suspects had allegedly been directly involved in the murders of the two monks.

 

A special unit at the Mirihana Police had apprehended the suspect, SP Rohana said while adding that a number of suspects were taken into custody yesterday as well.
