UPDATE: 2011 A/L Z-score results released

The 2011 GCE Advanced Level Examination Z-score results have been released a short while ago and can be obtained via the website, www.doenets.lk, the Examinations Department stated.

The Supreme Court on June 25 ordered the University Grants Commission (UGC) to annul z-score calculation and to recalculate for old and new syllabus separately, after taking up a FR petition filed by a group of A/L students and the Ceylon Teachers’ Union.

UPDATE: Commissioner of Examinations today said that a special opportunity will be granted for those who wish to apply for the 2012 G.C.E. Advanced Level Examinations under the new or old syllabus in August.

He stated that further details can be obtained by contacting the hotline - 1911 or 0112 784 208 , 0112 784 537.

Candidates applying privately will have to fill out the application form to be found on the Examinations Department website and fax it to the department along with the receipt of examinations fees to be paid to the post office.

Students will have to fax a letter with the details of their application through their respective school principal.

The department will accept faxes from tomorrow (July 23) to July 27 while the original application forms must be mailed to the department as well.

The Advanced Level Examinations will begin on August 6.
