VIDEO: Blacklisted company authorised to import substandard diesel?

The substandard diesel was imported by a black listed company with the approval of the former Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) Chairman, Minister of Petroleum Susil Premajayantha stated.

 

The blacklisted company was allegedly handed a fine following which it was given its license to continue importing oil to the country by the former CPC Chairman, the Minister further said.

 

He further stated that the vehicles that are experiencing engine malfunctions are related to the use of diesel imported by the blacklisted company.

 

The Minister added that tests will be conducted on the diesel samples upon which further action will be determined.
