Mahinda-Maithri coordination committee to meet ex-President

The committee appointed by the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) to coordinate the party’s affairs between President Maithripala Sirisena and former President Mahinda Rajapaksa is scheduled to meet with the latter today (25).

The six-member committee was appointed when SLFP representatives recently met with President Maithripala Sirisena.

The committee had first held discussion with the President while they intend to brief Rajapaksa today on the agreements reached with Sirisena, committee member Dilan Perera said.

The discussion is scheduled to take place at 10.00am today while decision on the next course of steps is to be taken afterwards, he said.  

The committee is comprised of Mohan Seneviratne, Dilan Perera, Kumara Welgama, T.B. Ekanayake, Susil Premajayantha and Anura Priyadarshana Yapa.
