The enjoining order, which was issued to prevent the Central Committee of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) from being convened, has been extended till 7 August by the Colombo District Court today (29).

The District Court issued the enjoining order against convening of the Central Committee, without a prior permission from the President, two weeks ago.

The order was issued following a case filed by SLFP Avissawella District Organizer Prasanna Solangaarachchi, on July 15.
