Two suspects arrested & remanded over Kotadeniyawa murder

The two suspects questioned over the murder of the 5-year-old girl in Kotadeniyawa have been arrested and remanded until September 28, police said. 

Earlier today, it was reported that two persons including a 17-year-old youth were taken in for questioning over the rape and murder of Seya Sadewmi, who was found strangled to death on Sunday (13).

She was reported missing from her home at Kotadeniyawa in Divulapitiya on the previous day. 

Investigations into the murder are carried out by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID).
