New Asgiriya Mahanayake thero selected

Ven. Warakagoda Gnanarathana Thero has been appointed as the Mahanayake of the Asgiriya Chapter of the Siam Sect.
The election of the new Mahanayake Thera of Asgiriya chapterwas was held today (07). The office of the Mahanayake Thero fell vacant following the demise of the Most Venerable Galagama Sri Attadassi Maha Thero on March 09.
Attadassi Thero passed away after being admitted to the Kandy Hospital the same day in an unconscious state due to an accidental fall.
