Divulapitiya Acting Crimes OIC remanded

The Acting Crimes OIC of the Divulapitiya Police Station, who was arrested over the death of a suspect in the Negombo Prison, has been remanded until October 10. 

Inspector Saman Priyanka Mahage was produced at the Negombo Magistrate’s Court today and ordered remanded until the aforementioned date for the identification parade. 

He was arrested in connection with the death of 50-year-old Gamini Edward, a resident of Hunumulla, while in detention at the Negombo Prison on October 04.
