Sajin Vass Gunawardena further remanded

MP Sajin Vass Gunawardena, who was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for allegedly misusing the vehicles belonging to the President Secretariat Office, has been further remanded until May 3.

The CID summoned Gunawardena to record a statement on May 11, where he was arrested.

Recently, the police also announced that they don’t know the whereabouts of over 120 vehicles belonging to the President Secretariat Office. The Police Spokesperson also requested the public to notify them regarding any information leading to these missing vehicles.

The CID had also questioned the MP in connection with the corruption charges leveled against him by the Voice against Corruption (VaC), an organization headed by Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) Provincial Councilor Wasantha Samarasinghe.
