Nishantha Ranatunga granted bail

Former CEO of CSN channel Nishantha Ranatunga has been granted bail by the Kaduwela Magistrate Court a short while ago, his lawyer told Ada Derana.

He was ordered released on a cash bail of Rs 100,000 and two perosnal bails of Rs 1 million each. 

Ranatunga, Yoshitha Rajapaksa, Rohan Weliwita and two others were arrested and remanded on money laundering charges.

While the others were granted bail by the Colombo High Court on Monday (14) following bail applications filed for them, the former SLC secretary had filed his bail application separately.
