Disabled soldiers fast continue for second day

The fast staged by the disabled soldiers and army officers continues for the second day in Fort, Ada Derana reporter said.


The fast was commenced in front of the Fort Railway Station since last afternoon (25) over several issues in the current army pension procedure.


Heavy traffic also reported in Colombo Fort area as Lotus Road was obstructed due to a protest staged by a group of disabled soldiers yesterday. The soldiers also attempted to submit a petition to the Presidential Secretariat Office.
