Vesak celebrations in Colombo...

Buddhist devotees in Sri Lanka celebrate the Vesak festival this year on a grand scale, giving priority to religious observances.

Vesak full moon Poya marks the three most important milestones in the life of Gautama Buddha, namely the birth, enlightenment and Parinirvana.
