Former Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa a short while ago arrived at the BMICH to give a statement before the Special Presidential Commission of Inquiry into Large Scale Corruption and Fraud.

The CoI recorded a statement from the former Defence Secretary on August 24 as well.

The CoI says that it summoned the former Defence Secretary to question him on the alleged misuse of properties of the Rakna Arakshaka Lanka Ltd.

The police earlier discovered an armory belonging to the security firm Rakna Arakshaka Lanka Limited which was discovered within the premises of the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH).
