A minor earth tremor with a magnitude of 2.7 on the Richter scale has been reported this evening (16) between Anuradhapura and Kantale, according to the Geological Survey and Mines Bureau.
Accordingly, the Seismic Monitoring Center of the bureau stated that that the minor tremor was recorded at around 5.12 p.m. today approximately 41 km east from Anuradhapura.
