
The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) has stated that it will be carrying out a series of special raids, to identify vendors who are not passing on the benefits from the recent electricity tariff, LP Gas, and fuel price reduction to the consumers.
The Chairman of CAA, Thusitha Indrajith said that investigative officers have been instructed to initiate island-wide raids in the coming days.
Accordingly, instructions have been given to inspect the hotels, restaurants, and other trade outlets along with the display of the reduced prices of goods and services to consumers.
