
Sri Lanka’s Under-19 team beat Zimbabwe by 39 runs via the DLS method in the Group C match of the ongoing Under-19 World Cup on Sunday in Kimberley.
D. Kalupahana managed to score 60 runs helping Sri Lanka register 204 runs at the end of 48.3 overs while M. Tharupathi picked up 4 wickets for 17 runs.
Sri Lanka struck thrice in Kimberley before rain caused delay. The match was then reduced to a 22-over contest as Zimbabwe’s target was 129.
Earlier, Zimbabwe won the toss and elected to bowl first.
