The Presidential Candidate of the ‘Sarvajana Balaya’ alliance, entrepreneur Dilith Jayaweera says that the party’s national strategic plan is not made up of promises, but with statements that are described scientifically and logically and can be achieved within a given timeline.

He made these remarks during an event organized by the “Piripun Deshayak” organization in the Southern Province.

The 2025 - 2040 Development Strategy Framework for Sri Lanka, organized by the “Piripun Deshayak” organization was presented to the Southern Province yesterday (Aug 31), under the patronage of Sarvajana Balaya’s presidential candidate Dilith Jayaweera.

Speaking at the event, Jayaweera stated: “This strategic plan has described scientifically and logically that we will help a household earn an income of at least Rs 100,000. This is not just a promise. This describes how it will happen and its timeline.”

“On the other hand, people leave their families and go abroad for a better income. We have mentioned how it will change strategically in this plan. Not only that, we have told the youth that they will be able to buy their first vehicle with exempted tax under our conditions”, he added.

Meanwhile, the Sarvajana Balaya’s presidential candidate expressed that the strategic plan also mentions that Sri Lankan women will be made to shine brighter with the knowledge of entrepreneurship.

Speaking at a public rally titled “Dilith Gamata” held in Kamburupitiya afterwards, Jayaweera also commented that he decided to run for the presidential election as a citizen who has paid taxes for every single penny he has earned during his life.
