
The Election Commission reported that a total of 4,031 complaints have been received thus far in relation to the presidential election.
This includes a total of 203 more complaints received by the election regulatory body during the past 24 hours.
In a statement, the commission noted that 3,916 these complaints were received related to violations of election laws, and 29 complaints related to acts of violence were reported.
On Saturday (14), Chairman of the Election Commission R.M.A.L. Rathnayake said that there is a slight increase in the number of complaints received in relation to the presidential election this year.
