Three persons from the same family have been injured and hopitalised after being shot at in Seeduwa, the police said.
Police Media Spokesman SSP Buddhika Manathunga confirmed that the three injured individuals have been admitted to the Negombo hospital for treatment.

One of the three individuals who sustained injuries in the shooting incident has succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment at the hospital, the police confirmed.
Preliminary police investigations have uncovered that the assailants who arrived in a car, had shot at a house in the Liyanagemulla area of Seeduwa, injuring the father and two sons of the same family, and fled the scene.
Police confirmed that the 53-year-old deceased is a resident of the same area.
Police have later discovered the car used in the crime which had been torched in Katunayake.
Seeduwa Police is conducting further investigation regarding the incident.
