A major fire broke out on the set of ‘Idly Kadai,’ the upcoming film directed by and starring Dhanush. According to News 18, the elaborate set, built for the film in Andipatti, Theni district, was completely gutted in the blaze. The fire reportedly spread quickly due to strong winds, causing the entire structure to be reduced to ashes. Firefighters rushed to the spot and managed to extinguish the flames after a strenuous effort.

Cause under investigation; no injuries reported.

Thankfully, no one from the crew was present at the location when the fire occurred. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, though officials have confirmed that it likely began after filming had already shifted to a new location. With no injuries reported, fans of the actor and the film breathed a sigh of relief as updates confirmed everyone’s safety.

The team is currently shooting in Thailand.

The cast and crew of ‘Idli Kady’ are currently stationed in Thailand for a crucial leg of the shoot. Prominent actors including Sathyaraj, Parthiban, and Arun Vijay are part of the ongoing schedule in Bangkok. The team had earlier wrapped up filming in Anupatti and Andipatti before moving overseas. The fire broke out at the unused set that had not yet been dismantled, and it was reportedly left disassembled to complete some patchwork once the team finished their overseas schedule.

Dhanush’s fans express concern and support.

As news of the fire spread, fans took to social media to express concern over the incident but were reassured upon learning that Dhanush and his team were unharmed. While the loss of the set is significant, production is continuing without delay, and the team is expected to resume shooting additional portions in alternate locations.
