Sri Lanka squad for second Bangladesh Test named

The national cricket squad for the second Test match against Bangladesh to be played in Colombo has been announced.

 

The Sri Lanka Cricket Selection Committee has named an 18-member squad which will be captained by all-rounder Dhananjaya de Silva.

 

Veteran Angelo Mathews who retired from Test cricket has been replaced by Dunith Wellalage in the squad while pacer Vishwa Fernando has been named in place of Milan Rathnayake for the second Test.

 

The series opener ended in a draw after both teams posted mammoth first innings totals.

 

The stakes are high in the second test as the winner will not only claim the series but grab valuable World Test Championship points.

 

The second test match is scheduled to begin on Wednesday (25), at the SSC Grounds in Colombo.
