A viral video clip of ‘Derana Little Star - Season 10’ winner, Siheli Thurya’s amazing performance during a reality show has now gained over 312.7 million views on TV Derana’s YouTube channel, becoming the single most-watched YouTube Short from a Sri Lankan channel.
The video short’s view count has even surpassed the music video of Yohani’s viral hit song “Manike Mage Hithe,” which is considered the most-watched Sri Lankan music video on YouTube with over 256 million views.
The viral clip, which has more than 1.6 million likes, shows part of a delightful performance of the song “Diwya Nadee,” from the movie ‘Garasarapa’, sung by Seheli during the reality show ‘Derana Little Titans’ in 2022, when she was 8 years old.
The song is originally sung by Dumal Warnakulasuriya with music by Chinthaka Jayakody and lyrics by Jayantha Chandrasiri.
Seheli Thurya was just 6 years old when she won ‘Derana Little Star Season 10’ – in both the categories of Popular and Jury decision in 2020.
