Pakistan opts to field first against Sri Lanka in Rawalpindi

Pakistan captain Shaheen Afridi has won the toss and elected to field first against Sri Lanka in the third and final One-Day International of the three-match series in Rawalpindi.

 

Pakistan and Sri Lanka have both made four changes each for the series finale.

 

Sri Lanka white-ball captain Charith Asalanka is reported to be unwell and Kusal Mendis has been named the skipper for the game.

 

At the toss, Mendis confirmed Asalanka is not well and will not be part of the playing XI.

 

Sri Lanka has made four changes to the team that lost by 8 wickets in the second ODI including the inclusion of Pavan Rathnayake who will make his debut.

 

Mendis is expecting to post more than 290 runs to avoid a series whitewash.

 

Sri Lanka also lost the series opener by 6 runs to Pakistan.
