T20 World Cup: Zimbabwe restrict Oman to 103 at SSC

Experienced Zimbabwe bowlers restricted Oman to paltry 103 in 19.5 overs during the eighth game of the 2026 T20 World Cup at the SSC grounds in Colombo.

Zimbabwe’s Blessing Muzarabani wreaked havoc with the new ball before his pace-bowling colleague Richard Ngarava joined him in the demolition job to skittle out Oman inside their allotted 20 overs.

Muzarabani finished with figures of 3/16 while Richard Ngarava had 3/17 in 4 overs.

Pacer Brad Evans also chipped in with impressive figures of 3/18 from 3.5 overs in a brilliant Zimbabwean bowling performance.

Oman were in danger of being bowled out for a much lesser total after slipping to 27 for five in the seventh over.

But 20s from Vinayak Shukla, Sufyan Mehmood and Nadeem Khan helped guide Oman past the three figure mark in the Group B encounter.

Earlier, Zimbabwe won the toss and sent Oman into bat.
