Brumbies marks 15 years at 147th Royal-Thomian ‘Battle of the Blues’

The Brumbies Enclosure celebrated its 15th year with the launch of a commemorative T-shirt recently at The Steuart by Citrus.

The event brought together partners, sponsors, and long-standing supporters, highlighting the relationships and shared history that define the enclosure.

The milestone coincides with S. Thomas’ College, Mount Lavinia’s 175th anniversary, making this year’s 147th Royal-Thomian Cricket Encounter (12th to 14th March 2026) particularly historic.

Brumbies will continue to operate as a premier corporate enclosure, attracting senior executives, company directors, and business owners, and will also be present at the 49th Mustangs Trophy, held for the first time as a day-and-night encounter at the Sinhalese Sports Club.

Speaking at the launch, President of the Brumbies Organising Committee, Mr. Eran Ranasinghe, said, “Fifteen years ago, Brumbies started as a simple idea among friends. Today, it has grown into a platform that brings together tradition, corporate Sri Lanka, and lifelong friendships.”

Organised by the Thomian Batch of 1987, Brumbies has evolved into a space for connection, conversation, and shared experience, distinctively welcoming families. The launch was supported by principal sponsors Dialog, Pulse, George Steuart Health, Nikon, LOLC, and InsureMe.

As Brumbies steps into its 15th year, it remains committed to honouring its journey while continuing to blend sport, tradition, corporate camaraderie, and family fellowship.
