White Flag postponed due to Fonseka illness

The Colombo High Court today postponed the hearing of witness testimonies for the ‘White Flag’ case to April 20. Prison officials had informed the court that the defendant, Sarath Fonseka cannot be produces before court today as he is ill.


Hence the three-member judge panel, including Colombo High Court Judge Deepali Wijesundara decided to postpone the hearing till April 20.


Meanwhile Captain Senaka de Silva, the private secretary of the former Army Chief Sarath Fonseka was also released on bail today (April 01) as ordered by the Court of Appeals recently.


He was released on a cash bail of Rs. 200, 000 and has been barred from leaving the country.
