Lankan dupes businessman in Kuwait

A well-known businessman in Kuwait City has been duped by a Sri Lankan contractor, reports Al-Rai daily.

The businessman had filed a complaint at Fahaheel Police Station, saying he and the Sri Lankan agreed to start a joint business venture with a capital of KD 200,000 and that he did not hear from the Sri Lankan ever since he gave KD 67,000 in advance payment.

Police conducted investigations and found out that the suspect had already left for his home country, Sri Lanka.
