Seven persons suspended over Museum robbery

Seven persons including security personnel and members of the minor staff at the Colombo National Museum have been suspended from work in connection with the robbery of historic artifacts which occurred on March 16, National Heritage Minister Jagath Balasuriya stated.

Speaking to Ada Derana, the Minister said that the area within the museum in which the robbery took place has been cordoned off and is not visible to the public.

He added that he expected the museum to be fully opened to the public by April 25 while a decision on that will be taken tomorrow.
