Four schools to delay start of third term due to elections

Four schools in the Anuradhapura and Kegalle Districts will delay the commencement of its third term to September 11 as they will be used as counting centres in the upcoming North Central and Sabaragamuwa local government election, the Elections Commissioner stated.
The Anuradhapura Central College as well as the Swarna Jayanthi Vidyalaya, Kegalle Balika Vidyalaya and the Kegalle Maha Vidyalaya will begin its next term on September 11 while all other government schools except the Grade 5 scholarship paper marking centres will commence its third term tomorrow (September 3).
