Four persons have been arrested by Thirappane Police for the possession of around Rs. 408,000 in counterfeit currency notes.
Police seized a total of 78 fake Rs.5,000 notes, 18 fake Rs.1,000 notes and also a fake gem stone.
The arrested suspects were handed over to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) for further action.
