The body of a youth who was reported missing at sea after a boat accident off Palliya in Kalpitiya has been discovered after it washed ashore at the Uchchmaniya beach.
The deceased has been identified a 29-year-old resident of Battalangunduwa, police said.
The postmortem examination has been conducted on the body while the cause of death has been uncovered as due to drowning.
