United National Party (UNP) MP Karu Jayasuriya mentioned that a country’s democracy faces severe problems should the judiciary collapse.
The minister stated that there are uprisings in countries in the Middle East due to the lack of democracy and also stated that the 18th amendment has brought many a tragedy to this country.
The MP made these statements at a rally organized in Gampaha today (05).
