Two police officers attached to the Mirihana Special Crime Investigation Unit have been suspended for failing to arrest a suspect in connection to money scam.
A Sub-inspector and a police constable have been suspended, the police spokesman’s office stated.
It has been reported that the two officers were suspended under the orders of the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in charge of Western Province (South).
