A man employed as a lifeguard at a hotel was swept away and had drowned in the ocean in the Salpayaru area in Kuchchaveli, police stated.
The victim was a 32 year old lifeguard residing in the Erakkandi area, police further revealed.
The victim had drowned while engaging in his practice routines while the police will conduct further investigations in to the incident, the Kuchchaveli police stated.
