Two persons were arrested after being caught in possession of a locally manufactured weapon in the Ruwanwella area, police stated.
A police team in Ruwanwella was inspecting a three-wheeler when they found the suspects in possession of the weapon.
Police also found a T-56 bullet in their possession.
The suspects will be presented to the Ruwanwella Magistrate Court today (February 7).
