A plastic bag full of turtle eggs have been found on the Godawaya beach in Ambalantota by the Special Task Force following a complaint received by the Ambalantota STF camp.
The bag contained 40 turtle eggs authorities stated and was recovered by a group of STF personnel attached to the Ambalantota camp.
The turtle eggs were handed over to the Kalametiya Wildlife Conservation Office, police stated.
